Model Your Way To Internet Business Success
Modeling is a simple formula that you can use in developing your
profitable Internet Business – So simple in fact, it’s almost
always overlooked.
Basically, you just need to identify which Internet Business Marketer
is already making money online and model YOUR Internet Business
after his.
It is just that SIMPLE!
Yes, you are allowed copy his or her Internet Business system or
business model.
If you are wondering if it is on the legal side of the law, think
about it… does anyone hold any form of copyright to a Business
Model? No. You’re copying the WAY he or she does business…
not the actual business.
Having said that, you can imitate an Internet Business owner or
Marketer who is already achieving the kind of profitable results
you desire. In other words, you can imitate his Internet Business
system.
- If he adds in bonuses each time he makes an endorsement,
you do the same… each time you endorse a product or service
as an affiliate, throw in your own special offers. - If this Internet Marketer’s response rate to customer service
is 24 hours, you do the same or better… maybe under 12 hours. - If this Internet Marketer is making most of his money from
list building… what’s stopping you from building a profitable mailing list?
While this may sound absurdly simple, you can set up your Internet
Business in the exact or a similar manner. You can even sell the
same product, assuming, of course, you have the rights to sell
the same product.
However, you are actually better off selling ANOTHER product,
preferably in a different market using the same Internet Business
Model or business practice.
It just makes sense to model a system that is already working
as there is no need for you to re-invent the wheel . Why suffer
the mistakes and the steep learning curve when you can save
time, effort and money doing what is already proven?
Just a little food for thought as you pursue an Internet
Marketing Business.
Build Your Business On Profitable Sub-Markets
Most internet marketers have a backwards approach to market research. They have a product, either their own or an affiliate product, then grab a bunch of keywords to “market” their product. By doing this they end up with some keywords that work and a bunch that get deleted from the campaign. This “hit or miss” approach can also lead to failed campaigns. You may have a fantastic product but if the market is too small or, even worse, doesn’t spend money… Then it’s back to the drawing board.
A better plan is to do your market research FIRST. If the market is big enough and spends money you can find a product to answer the needs of the market.
As an example, say you want to research the crafts market in the knitting niche. You research knitting and find that niche is healthy about 17 million searches on Google. Knitting is way too broad to base a campaign on so you drill down to knitting hats. Now you are down to about 25 million searches. If you drill down even further you find a sub niche “knitting hats for beginners” with about 4.5 million searches. Now you can proceed to the next step – Do They spend money?
There are several ways to see if the niche will spend money. If you go to amazon.com, ebay.com, clickbank.com or any large sales type site and type in your keyword phrase. If there are a lot of products then you can safely assume the niche spends money. If you find very little products it’s time to move on to another niche. You don’t want to waste your time if there is no chance to make money.

Finding A Product To Sell
Once you have a profitable niche in mind, it’s time to find a money making product to sell.
When you are looking for a product to make money online make sure you keep your niche members in mind. What issues or problems are they trying to overcome? What do they need to learn? How can this product make it easier for them?
If your niche is “weight loss” you’ll want to find a product that addresses that issue. If you try to sell a product that claims to give “6-pack abs in 30 days” to this group you’ll probably sell a ton of the product.
On the other hand, if you were selling a product to make money on the internet that claimed to “drop 20 pounds in 1 week” you will likely not be able to sell any products.
There are several ways to find an Internet money making product:
- Search Clickbank and/or PayDotCom.
- Amazon.com.
- Commission Junction.
- LinkShare.com.
- Resell Rights products.
- Your own Product.
When you’re looking for a product you’ll want to try and find one that is popular – But not too popular. If nobody is selling the product there is probably no market. If a LOT of people are selling it the niche has too much competition.
Clickbank has a huge selection of products to help you make money online. When you find one you want to promote make sure and check the gravity. The gravity is a measure of how popular the product is. The higher thegravity, the more popular the product. Usually a gravity between 80 and 200 is a safe bet. The “big” marketers probably not interested so you can probably dominate the niche with a little work.
PayDotCom.com is a lot like clickbank but not as big. Unlike Clickbank, PayDotCom pays monthly through PayPal. Clickbank pays directly to you every 2 weeks. Again, look for a product with a medium popularity.
Both Commission Junction and LinkShare deal mostly in physical products and the commission rate is much lower. But, if your niche is looking for high-end physical products your set. Even with a low commission of maybe 5%, you can still make money if the sell price is high enough. A $1000 dollar camera would bring you a $50 commission. Sell a couple of these every day and watch your bank account grow.
When I talk about resell rights products I mean products that you can resell and keep all the profits. The better resell products give you a sales page and graphics to promote your product. The down-side of resell rights products is there can be thousands of others selling the same product. You can go to SureFire Wealth to check out some good resell rights products.
Easy PLR or PLR Wholesaler are two very good places to find Private Label Rights (PLR) products. PLR products are a lot like resell rights products on steroids. Not only do you keep all the profits, you can also put YOUR name on them as the author. You can also change the title, edit them with your own information and change the graphics. As you’ve probably figured out, PLR is definitely the way to go.
Finally, there is your own product. If you are really in to your niche you could write a report or ebook about it. A report that gives the top tips is always in demand. You could write a 5 or six page report on “7 Things To Look For When Buying a House” or “12 Ways To Stop Your Dog’s Barking”. As mentioned above, you could find a PLR product and call it your own.
You’ll want to register for my FREE ebook – Inside you’ll get a boat-load of great information on market research. Why guess if the market is “hungry”? The best part is most of the techniques won’t cost you a dime!
Now, all that’s left is for you to go out and find the next “killer” product and start making money on the Internet.
The Big Picture
Today let’s talk about the “Big Picture” for making money online. To many marketers today only focus on the short term. What can I do to make money today?
Any business, online or offline, needs to have a strategy for long term success in order to make money. By focusing on the “long haul” you are still able to make money online quickly and KEEP making money for years to come.
When I started online, I would jump from one “sure thing” to the next. Sure I would make money, but then sales of the affiliate product I was promoting would slow down and I would have to rush around to find another product to promote. This cycle continued over and over and over.
Had I laid out a business plan first I could have saved myself a lot of stress, headaches and work!
So, here is a simple checklist to follow to set yourself up for a long term business. Modify it to fit your money making goals(you do have goals, right?). Once you have a plan in place, it can be easily adapted to any niche. You just need to plug in the niche information and start making money on the internet. In no time you can have multiple income streams. Here’s that checklist:
- Write down your short term, middle term and long term goals
- Research your first niche (My Free ebook will make this a breeze)
- Find a product that fills your niches needs (Clickbank, cj.com,Amazon, etc.)
- Get your own domain and hosting (See resources)
- And get an autoresponder (See resources)
You may think you can do without some of these – Not a good idea! Even if you plan on starting out using a blog you’ll still want a website. Why?
If you advertise on your blog too much your readers will start to question your motives and start opting out of your blog and list. By sending readers to your web page for more content you keep their trust. On your website you will steer them towards more content then, hopefully, they’ll look at the a sales page and you’ll make money.
Want to make money with Google Adwords? You still need a website for a review page or presell page.
With everything in place and running smoothly, your ready to start another niche. You just need steps 2 and 3 above and start making money online.
I hope this has helped.
Remember, if you want a way to make money on the internet fot the long term long term you need to have a solid foundation.
Your Internet Business Start-Up Headquarters
Welcome to BizMart 2010.
This is your headquarters for all things related to Internet business. With all the hype flying around on the web I thought it was time to help you build a business with a solid foundation. This is NOT about “get rich quick”. If that’s what you’re looking for you might as well buy a lottery ticket. The odds are about the same.
One of the most common questions I hear is “How can I get started making money?” The answer is really quite simple -
You just need to focus.
They say that 98% of new internet business start-ups fail. That is a staggering number of failures! The sad thing is that nearly all of the failed attempts at making money online could have been avoided. Sure there will be some hard times. I’ve certainly tried to pull my hair out a few times, but, I settled down and looked at the situation with more determination and finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
How many times have you seen a sales letter that promises easy money with no list, no website and only work a couple of hours per week. probably hundreds if you’ve signed up for many email lists. I’ve seen plenty myself. And, like you, I have bought more than my fair share of them. Unfortunately, two weeks later another “best system yet” shows up and we drop everything and jump on the new bandwagon.
I did that for years until one day I was moving all my stuff from my old computer to a new one. I started totaling up the costs of all the products I had bought over the years and … Well, I stopped after $2800. ANd I was only about half way through my collection. Then it hit me. The reason I hadn’t made it was my own fault. Granted, some of the so-called internet business systems were pretty lame, but quite a few had some really good information.
From that day forward I focused on actually learning all the material I could to finally break through the hype and start making money on the internet.
